So, here we are at last. I know I haven’t updated until this point, been busy. Let’s chat more often.
My debut novel, Savage as You, is out in the world. I think a lot of authors never even get to this point. Holding their book in their hands. Seeing it online and in stores.
My goal is to build momentum over time with consistent releases in my shared universe of stories. Savage as You kicks off a planned 8-Book series I’m dubbing ‘The Usurper Saga’.
So, if you encounter lore, character names, and other details that don’t fully add up in SaY, there’s a reason for it.
I’m definitely trying to set up a broader scope of lore and characters who weave between books.
I’m also very interested in putting details in my novels you won’t fully get until you read book 2, 3,or 7. Then you’ll reread Savage as You and have that funny little ‘aha moment’.
There were definitely some technical hurdles while creating the Ebook and Softcover of SaY. This is, indeed, my first rodeo of publishing and I beg for a modicum of patience as I learn the ropes.
The formatting is pretty basic. No illustrations or cool bells and whistles. Hope that isn’t disappointing.
There’s always second and third editions down the line I could do that might include some ritzier elements. That being said, the softcover posed a massive challenge. Formatting did not agree with me at first. I also ran into unforseeable issues like Microsoft Word outputting in RGB rather than CMYK, something I’ll be baffled over for years to come. So, if your softcover of Savage as You has ‘faded’ text and you’re unhappy, EMAIL ME! We’ll work something out. I’ll send you the perfected version free of charge. Within reason! Obviously if 200 people email me I literally won’t be able to finance sending all of them out.
But as we trundle along, I’ll do my best to get the newest version in people’s hands. Apologies for any inconvenience. I should have the direct purchase Ingram link in my Books section soon. I highly recommend using that link for the best version and deal!
For now, I’m pretty satisfied with how the project went. Going forward things will be smoother. If you like Savage as You and want more, fear not! I should have a tie-in novella ready in October, then a cute little short story tie-in closer to the holidays. Updates will happen every couple weeks. I’ll try to muster a schedule as I go. You can purchase SaY in my ‘Books’ tab. Otherwise I hope to expand my site with lore and other fun extras as I get more comfortable using it.
